Corporate Social responsibility for us , has been an unwritten commitment, which existed in our minds, even before this term CSR was coined.

While, we ourselves are ever committed to contribute to the society in our little ways, we realize that our B2B platform is a very efficient & effective via-media for such an exercise as it reaches far and wide & connects with so many businesses & professionals whose CSR potential can be cross fertilized & multiplied many a times to deliver significantly on this front. It means, that we can act as a game changing facilitators for the businesses on-board GLOBAL BARTERS, for their CSR initiatives & social efforts per se.

With the introduction of a draft CSR bill by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, the direction, the GOI is taking, in institutionalizing the CSR activity in the sphere of even privately run businesses is a step, we feel, in the right direction, which will yield better social dividends, as the private sector is more efficient in delivering, without much pilferages, as compared to the public sector channels, where, up to 80-85% of the deliverables are lost on the way to the society & find their ways in questionable pockets.

However, there is a debate, whether the CSR activity be left to the businesses to plan & quantify or be mandated by the law. Whatever may be the result of that debate, we think, if the businesses want to contribute, we can make even their Surplus Capacities, Excess Inventories, Perishable Stocks, Wasted opportunities count. Its like saying, they would be able to contribute very significantly to the CSR cause, just by coming on-board and letting us channel their latent potential, which today goes waste, into something very meaningful and significant.
